The Digital Media Specialist is a crucial part of the marketing team. This position requires a diligent and driven candidate who can deliver with a positive attitude. This position is responsible for working cross-functionally with various departments to grow and expand our video and other digital content. This is a fun place to work with a great team.

About the position:
  • Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Support our internal and external communicationsby:
    • Shooting and producing videos
    • Recording and producing audio podcasts
    • Creating and managing eLearning/training courses
    • Design graphics and layouts for presentation decks
    • Developing digital assets for marketing and communications campaigns
    • Designing slides and creating video content for digital displays (Averitt News Network)
    • Ensuring final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
    • Reviewing content for accuracy, managing media assets and maintaining video archives
  • Basic understanding of professional writing is also important
  • A portfolio of previous creative work is requested

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • College degree preferred
  • Strong storytelling skills and ability to produce content that reflects Averitt's branding
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and details
  • Able to communicate well with others in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic with a positive attitude
  • Adaptability to unplanned requests and changes
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Eagerness to learn new systems and processes
  • Technical skills/experience
    • Use and familiarity with the Adobe Suite of products (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat)
    • Experience using Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Experience in digital media, design, AV production, sound and light design, podcasting, videography, photography or eLearning course design
