Averitt is seeking a Driver Recruiter to join our growing Driver Recruiting team!

As a results-driven Driver Recruiter, you will serve as the first point of contact for prospective driver candidates, introducing career opportunities, explaining company programs, and guiding applicants through the recruiting and screening process. This role requires a strong sales and service mindset, as you actively build and manage a pipeline of qualified driver candidates through outbound communication and recruiting initiatives.

Success in this role comes from your ability to connect with candidates, clearly communicate opportunities, and help guide them through each step of the hiring process, from initial contact to final offer.

About this position:

  • Work Monday - Friday; 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • Make high-volume outbound calls and outreach to prospective driver candidates
  • Develop and maintain driver leads using multiple communication channels (phone, text, email, and recruiting platforms)
  • Clearly communicate driving opportunities, pay, benefits, and job expectations to candidates
  • Conduct initial screenings and assess applicant qualifications based on hiring criteria
  • Build rapport with candidates and maintain consistent communication throughout the hiring process
  • Follow up with applicants regarding their application status and next steps
  • Present and close employment offers to qualified candidates to meet hiring goals
  • Maintain accurate candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and build pipelines for future opportunities
  • Operate in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment with measurable activity and hiring goals

  • College degree not required. Degree in marketing, business, communications or related field is a plus.
