Averitt is looking for a detail'oriented and creative Corporate Communications Content Specialist to support our internal communications, digital content, and associate engagement initiatives. This part'time role is ideal for someone who excels at writing, enjoys storytelling, and wants to create meaningful content that strengthens company culture.
You'll work closely with the Corporate Communications team to develop content across newsletters, email campaigns, internal platforms, recognition programs, and more.
Key Responsibilities
Content Development & Writing
- Write engaging internal long'form content for newsletters, emails, handouts, and digital publications.
- Craft recognition letters and update templates quarterly.
- Write milestone and service award press releases for local markets.
- Develop titles, descriptions, and promotional messaging for company podcast episodes.
Email & Newsletter Communications
- Produce and distribute weekly email newsletters to associates.
- Create internal job transfer opportunity communications for driving associates.
- Support additional email creation needs across the Marketing & Communications team.
- Send podcast promotional emails to leadership and drivers.
Digital Platform & Content Management
- Maintain and update associate website content, including anniversaries, milestones, referral recipients, and recognition listings.
- Ensure accuracy, accessibility, and consistency across internal digital platforms.
Social Media & Engagement Support
- Post safety and service award images to internal-facing channels.
- Collaborate with the social media team on content planning and engagement strategies.
Campaign & Program Support
- Contribute content for companywide campaigns and internal communication initiatives.
- Support the associate incentive program with quarterly messaging and materials.
- Send weekly referral emails about new opportunities.
Data & Administrative Tasks
- Pull and organize lists for service milestones, new leaders, anniversaries, and recognition reports.
- Assist with editorial planning for associate stories and culture-focused content.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with experience in long'form content.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and consistency.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with AP Style preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Experience in one or more of the following is a plus:
- Social media content creation
- Graphic design (Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud)
- Photography or videography
- Video editing
- CMS tools
