The Carrier Compliance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring all contracted carriers meet company and regulatory standards for safety, insurance, licensing, and performance. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a compliant and efficient carrier network by reviewing documentation, monitoring carrier performance, and assisting in audits or investigations.
Compliance Coordinator Job Description:
- Monday - Friday; 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- Vet and onboard new partner carriers
- Verify and maintain up-to-date documentation for all contracted partner carriers, including insurance certificates, DOT authority, W-9s, and safety ratings
- Ensure contracted partner carriers meet FMCSA, DOT and other relevant federal and state compliance requirements
- Conduct regular audits of carrier files and update our TMS (McLeod) with any changes in status or documentation
- Monitor carrier safety ratings, service performance, and compliance violations using tools such as FMCSA's SaferWatch and other 3rd party platforms such as RMIS, Carrier411, and WatchDog
- Notify internal operations teams of carrier status changes that may impact daily operations (e.g., revoked authority, expired insurance, etc.)
- Work closely with our Contract Manager to negotiate redlined Broker Carrier Agreements
- Maintain accurate and organized carrier records in our TMS, McLeod
- Assist in internal audits and investigations as needed
