We are seeking a Licensed Customs Broker to join our in-house customs brokerage team for assisting with the management of customs entries, providing guidance to our team and customers, and ensuring full compliance.
Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) Job Description:
- Ability to train staff in new procedures for import or export handling
- Experience dealing with airline and steamship line services for direct rate negotiation
- Hands-on experience with all documentation requirements for international air and ocean export shipments
- Experience with tariff filing of ocean freight rates
- Experience dealing with Customs ABI client reps, import specialists, inspectors, ports, truckers, railroads, CFS stations, bonded warehouses & Foreign Trade Zones
- Familiarity with export regulations, including denied party lists, regulated commodities and multimodal transport
- Experience with AES transmissions and problem resolution
- Project management experience on single and multi-shipment projects, including breakbulk and special equipment needs coordinating with port authorities and 3rd party service providers
- Strong interpersonal and managerial skills
- Willingness and ability to personally engage in the operational requirements to get shipments handled correctly
- We are looking to fill as a remote position with areas of interest, but not limited to, include Laredo TX, Savannah GA, Nashville TN, New Orleans LA, and Memphis TN.

- High School diploma or GED required; College degree a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- 3+ years of experience in customs brokerage, with experience in truck/ground transportation preferred.
Proficiency in ACE, ABI, and customs entry systems (such as Cargo Wise, Descartes, etc.). - Solid knowledge of import regulations, HTS classification, valuation, PGA requirements, and trade compliance.
- Ability to work independently while supporting a team-oriented environment.
- Experience with Canadian and Mexican border processes and customs brokerage is a plus.
- Familiarity with bonded shipments, warehouse entries, and drawback.
- Background in logistics, trucking, or intermodal operations.
